Introduction

We schedule a video call to discuss your priorities, ambitions, and expectations. We present our services and together determine if a partnership is right for you.

Partnership

We create a professional Athletic Profile with your sports statistics, academic background, and a highlight video. This is your calling card for American coaches.

Testing

You receive preparation materials and a targeted plan to maximize your SAT, ACT, or Duolingo scores. Higher scores mean better scholarships.

College Search

Through our network of over 20,000 American coaches, we find the schools that best suit you — athletically, academically, and personally. We make the match, you make the choice.

Signing

We guide you through reviewing the contract offer, scholarship terms, and financial details. Once everything is clear, you sign with your new school.

Documentation

The visa application process can be complex. We guide you through applying for your F1 student visa and ensure all documentation is correct and on time.

Is my sport eligible for working with Windmills?

As long as the sport is played in America, we can help find coaches and schools. We guide athletes in 16 different sports for both men and women.

What does it cost to study in America with Windmills?

Studying in America can be expensive, but many universities offer athletic and academic scholarships. We discuss our service fees after an initial meeting. Registration is free and non-binding.

Why should I get help from Windmills?

The journey to America is intensive. Windmills guides you through the entire process and helps you secure a scholarship that significantly reduces costs. Think of it as an investment in your future — both athletic and academic.

Do I need to be good at my sport to be eligible?

There are no specific performance requirements. Windmills evaluates whether studying and competing in America is right for you. Higher scholarships generally go to advanced athletes, but there are opportunities at every level.

Can I choose my location in America?

Yes, you choose based on the offers you receive. You can also indicate a preference for a certain region and we take that into account when searching for schools.

Why is sports and education better in the US compared to the Netherlands?

The American system uniquely allows top athletes to simultaneously pursue elite academics and sports. In the Netherlands, you often have to choose between sport and study. In America, you combine both at the highest level.

Do I need to take an entrance exam before studying in the US?

It's not required, but recommended. SAT and Duolingo tests strengthen your profile and increase your scholarship chances. Windmills provides preparation materials and guidance for these exams.

How can I improve my chances with American coaches and schools?

Windmills creates a personal action plan with practical steps and specific actions to improve your recruitment chances. From highlight videos to test preparation — everything is tailored to you.

What is a scholarship and how does it work?
