The Founder
GUIDO KLOMPENMAKER
In 2022, Guido Klompenmaker left Lelystad for the United States to play basketball at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa. After one year, he transferred to Ottawa University in Kansas, where he completed his college career.
During this journey, he saw how difficult and unclear the process can be for young athletes who share the same dream. Too little information, too little personal guidance, and too many parties who don't make it personal.
In 2024, he founded Windmills with one mission: make the journey to America more personal, efficient, and accessible. Within five months, Windmills placed more than 17 athletes at American universities.
“Thanks to Windmills I found a school in America where I can develop optimally. The entire process was personal and professional.”
